Our service is a private, pharmacist-led programme for adults who are finding it difficult to manage their weight and would benefit from professional clinical support. Unlike generic online services, our clinic begins with a personal consultation: our trained pharmacist takes time to understand your health history, lifestyle and goals before discussing whether any treatment is clinically appropriate for you.
Any treatment is provided only where a pharmacist has carried out a full clinical assessment and confirmed it is suitable. We do not provide treatment on the basis of an online form alone.
What your consultation includes
Your appointment with our trained pharmacist is thorough and completely confidential. It covers:
- Your current weight, BMI and weight history
- Relevant medical history and any existing health conditions
- Your current medications and anything that might make treatment unsuitable
- Your lifestyle, diet and activity levels
- A clear, plain-English explanation of the options that may be appropriate for you
- Guidance on managing your weight safely, whatever path is recommended
- An ongoing support plan with follow-up appointments
We see weight management as a journey, not a one-off transaction. Our pharmacist is here to support you at every stage, with a private consultation room for your comfort and discretion.
Am I eligible?
Suitability for any weight management treatment is always determined by clinical criteria and confirmed during your consultation. As a general guide, you may be suitable if:
- Your BMI is 30 or above, or
- Your BMI is 27 or above and you have a weight-related health condition such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure or raised cholesterol
- You have tried to manage your weight through diet and lifestyle changes without lasting success
- You have no medical reason that would make treatment unsuitable
Eligibility is confirmed only after a full pharmacist assessment. We will never recommend treatment without one.
